From Katarzyna ¦cibior, BaltSeaPlan Communication Officer

Several weeks she informed of the international event on Maritime Spatial Planning which will take place in the Oceanographic Museum in Stralsund/Germany on 18th June 2009.

The up-dated, detailed agenda of the meeting is attached.

The conference marks the official launch of the 3,7 mio EUR INTERREG BaltSeaPlan (2009-2012) project 'Planning the future of the Baltic Sea', which is currently the biggest initiative around the BSR to turn maritime spatial planning into reality.

Several top decision-makers from the all around the Baltic Sea and the European Commission DG Mare declared their attendance. The conference will among others illustrate the EU Roadmap on MSP, show the current situation throughout the BSR, discuss which MSP process is realistic to be applied throughout the BSR and what can be expected from BaltSeaPlan.
